Sanjog and Sushan in Dhading

HCC has been funding two deserving students through our Dhading Children’s Initiative (DCI) program for Grades 11 and 12 scholarship support in 2017. After taking their SEE (exit exams), the students choose a particular area of study for their further studies, including Science, Management, and some technical courses. Taking the course of their choice, they decide what field they want to develop for their career. We had our first batch of Higher Scholarship support for 2 students from the grade 12 class of 2016, Sanjog and Sushan. Both of our students decided to study Management.

Like last year, this year Sanjog and Sushan performed well academically and are awarded the scholarship for the Higher Scholarship support for studying in Grades 11 and 12. In late July, they received an orientation from HCC about the higher educational scholarship, their roles, responsibilities, and studies.

Sanjog secured 2.70 Grade in his SEE (Secondary Education Examination). He wants to study Arts taking English as his main subject. As his sister lives in Dhading Besi, he wants to stay with her in the district headquarters so that he can study and also get computer training. Sushan secured 2.60 Grade in his SEE (Secondary Education Examination). He wants to study Arts taking English as his main subject. If there is a Management stream in the college he chooses, he will either opt for Arts or Management. Sushan wants to study in the same school wherein took his SEE as it is close to home and he can look after his sister, Tina, who is also in our program.

Krishal finished with a 3.6 GPA! He excels in math and science and hopes to pursue a career in Computer Science when he is finished with high school. Krishal plans to apply to university Kathmandu and live with his brother Rojin, who is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s in Business Studies and is also part of our program.

Norgen receive an impressive 3.32 GPA, and she plans to pursue Education with a focus on Mathematics in Kathmandu. Norgen is hardworking and curious, as well as very friendly, and she hopes to become a teacher and share her love of math.

Thank you to everyone who supports our students. Your generosity provides remarkable students like Krishal and Norgen the opportunity to make their dreams a reality!
