Himalayan Children’s Charities (HCC) has two primary education programs — the PEAK Program and the RISE Program. HCC works to transform lives and promote change by breaking cycles of poverty, creating opportunities for successful futures, and encouraging a culture of giving back.
Achievements: In 2023, we supported 120 students in our two main programs — 32 students in the Peak Program and 88 in the RISE Program. We also supported 300 students through our rural outreach project in Benighat.

The PEAK Program
The PEAK Program promotes education and knowledge for disadvantaged students in higher education. The program provides students with educational scholarships for college, technical school or university, which cover tuition, housing, living expenses, access to HCC’s mentorship programs and inclusion in HCC’s family culture. Students in grades 11 and 12 live full time at HCC’s youth house, Khushi Ghar (KG). KG creates a stable, nurturing and family-like environment and provides our students with the guidance they need to succeed and thrive.
After high school students are given the option to attend university or technical school and are provided guidance to help choose an academic and career path. The Peak Program is open to all and students are admitted based on merit, motivation, and academic dedication.
The Peak Program works to inspire self-confidence, independence, and enable each of our students to elevate their lives and the world around them.
